You know sometimes I miss the crack-fics of the 00s but then I realized that really all the crack got extracted out of fanfiction allowing it to become a more legit art form and got shot into social media instead.
Why spend 5 hours writing a crack fic when you can spend 5 minutes spitting out a meme. I’m not saying all the social media crack is from former writers, just that there’s got to be some reason that no one seems to be able to write a good crack fic anymore and yet I see shitposts that would put any crack fic to shame, all day everyday.
